Senior Quality Assurance Officer (QA) – Norfolk
The Life Sciences Recruitment Company is currently working with a contract manufacturer (CMO) of pharmaceutical products in their search for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional who can support the Site Quality Assurance Manager in ensuring compliance for their GMP/GDP manufacturing facility in Norfolk.
The role will be working at senior grade within their QA team, directly supporting the Site Manager and the Director of Quality Assurance.
The client is a CMO; a contract manufacturer operating a facility to GMP and GDP standards, producing a range of pharmaceutical products. Products can range and including both OTC and speciality lotions and topical products. The site has been operating for a long period of time, with an exemplary record in quality and compliance with the MHRA. There are strong systems in place and this role will support the Site Manager in ensuring day-to-day operation and continual improvement.
The client prides themselves in their training and development program; supporting all members of staff to undertake external training and CPD, with the goal of giving each employee progression within the organisation.
The role is focused on ensuring full compliance with the quality documentation for the site. This will include supporting the Site Manager in controlling and reviewing all formal quality documentation. You will also support them in the approval of such documentation.
You will schedule and undertake internal audits, looking at corrective action plans and identifying areas in which the quality systems can be improved.
You will be responsible for monitoring the GMP system throughout the manufacturing process, investigating any potential issues that arise.
Finally, you will keep an up-to-date record of the training of all staff, keeping strong records and supporting in the delivery of quality training.
For this role, you will need to have a relevant degree from within a scientific or pharmaceutical background (BSc. essential, MSc./PhD an advantage but not critical). You will need to have experience of working with quality systems within a manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of GMP/GDP environments (minimum 3 years of experience). Further qualifications, including auditing qualifications, or other experience within a pharmaceutical environment would be an advantage, but not essential for the role as all further training can be provided.
